Dr. Gregory Kent has been caring for patients in the Treasure Valley since 1991, earning a reputation as one of Idaho's most trusted and skilled eye surgeons. His practice is built on the belief that every patient deserves expert care delivered with genuine compassion, a reputation reflected in decades of patient relationships across the Boise area.
Dr. Kent received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Allentown Affiliated Hospitals in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and finished his ophthalmology residency in 1990 at St. Vincent's Regional Medical Center in New York City.
After personally experiencing the benefits of refractive surgery, Dr. Kent began performing LASIK in 1999 and has since become one of Idaho's leading refractive surgeons. His technical precision and attention to detail are central to his success, and his firsthand experience as a LASIK patient gives him a uniquely personal perspective on the transformation the procedure offers.
Dr. Kent has developed a multi-specialty practice serving patients from Mountain Home to Ontario, with offices conveniently located in Meridian and Caldwell. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Ophthalmology Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Outside the office, Dr. Kent enjoys fly fishing, hunting, and golf. His greatest joy, however, is time with his wife Kimberly and their four children.
