Dorian Rammell, OD

Optometric Physician

Dr. Dorian Rammell joined The Eye Associates in 2017, fulfilling a long-held goal of returning to Idaho after beginning his career in Washington State. A graduate of Idaho State University in Biology, Dr. Rammell earned his doctorate in optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Among his earlier roles, one of the most unique was serving as facility optometrist for the Wisconsin Supermax Prison in Boscobel, where complex, high-stakes eye care was a daily reality.

At The Eye Associates, Dr. Rammell provides a wide range of eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings, as well as the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. He works collaboratively with Dr. Kent, co-managing patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular surface disorders, and uveitis. He specializes in evaluating patients considering LASIK surgery and supports both pre- and post-operative care for cataract patients.

Dr. Rammell offers contact lens fittings, including toric, scleral, and rigid gas permeable options, making him a strong resource for patients with challenging prescriptions or irregular corneas.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rammell stays active and is a devoted father to four daughters. He's a regular runner, a committed basketball fan, and is genuinely proud to be practicing in the Treasure Valley.
